What’s a CSA?
When you sign up for a CSA share (some people call it a “farm share”), you play a direct role in your local food system. Each week, you get a haul of farm-fresh veggies grown for maximum taste and nutrition. You support our small farm by committing to us for a full season. We appreciate you!
The Kneehigh Farm CSA is flexible, convenient, and fun!
Get anything you want each week! Pick-up at Red Dog Market or the SwaRthmore farmers’ market. Skip a week or two if you need. Eat the best veggies you’ve ever had!

We harvest within days (sometimes hours) of pick-up to ensure your veggies have the best flavor and texture every time.
Chemical-Free
We have strict standards when it comes to our growing practices. We never use harmful pesticides or herbicides. Everything is non-GMO.

Red Dog Market is the local grocery that Farmer Emma started with her husband, Aaron, in 2021. There are two share sizes available when you choose pick up at Red Dog: Lion Shares and Fox Shares.

Important Details…
Your membership amount will be credited to your account at the start of the season. If you run out of CSA credit, you can still shop with your discount until the end of the CSA.
Taking a vacation? Hit with family illness? No worries—you can skip a week or two for vacations and unexpected plans at no penalty.
Credit left at the end of the CSA season will not be refunded or transferred.

Important Details…
The total cost of your membership includes a “free” week ($27 x 25 weeks = $675). We depend on the market being open to deliver shares, so if for any reason the market is cancelled one week, this reduced cost ensures that you receive your full value. If the market is open for the entirety of 25 weeks, you receive $25 of free veggies! Hurray!
Your share value will not transfer week-to-week. If you want only $20 of veggies one week, you won’t receive a $34 value the following. However, you can always purchase more each week at a 10% discount.
We can’t hold shares or offer double shares if pick-up is missed. If you can’t make it to market, please arrange for a family member or friend to retrieve your share day-of, during open hours (9am-12pm on Saturdays).

Unlike traditional CSAs, we don’t pick your box items for you. This is a “choose your food” CSA. More of what you love, less of what you don’t!
